From a prodigy mastering flute and piano at 5, participating in classical music competitions, to a teenage radio journalist tackling xenophobia in Northwest Russia and landing an award-winning program on Deutsche Welle, Lyoubov Touinova's early life was a testament to her multifaceted talent. By 15, she'd released her debut single "Miracle" and soon after, found herself collaborating with electronic music giants New Composers, and connected with legendary figures like Kino band and Igor Vdovin. Since 2016, she's been a driving force in the experimental music scene, producing electronic music and championing Northern and Baltic artists through her independent label, _medialacuna. Touinova's sonic alchemy extends to scientific research, sonifying liquid crystals in collaboration with Moscow State University, and pushing the boundaries of audio plugins and visual programming. Her innovative media opera "Data City" has garnered international recognition, and she's currently composing the score for the ambitious "Genesis of Perception" AV ballet. This sound alchemist, weaving together Russian folklore, psychedelic poetry, and experimental electronics, is set to captivate audiences worldwide with her planned 2025 tour, offering a unique and powerful sonic experience.
